Dish Satellite Network

Author: Damian Sofsian

Satellite dish networks are used to relay TV content, Internet broadband and radio channels over a large area. Such networks use an up linking facility to relay signals to the orbiting communications satellite. The satellite has a transponder that relays the signal back to earth in an encoded form. A receiver called satellite TV dish converts these signals into TV content, web pages and radio channels. The use of dish satellites network has become very common these days to relay TV content, Internet broadband and radio. The satellites network enables the signals to be relayed over a large area. This increases market penetration enabling the TV channel service providers and Internet service providers to become more efficient and profitable.

The first stage in the networking process consists of relaying signals from an up linking facility to an orbiting communications satellite. The up-linking dish is directed towards the receiving satellite. Its large diameter helps to improve the quality of relayed data to the receiving satellite. In the second stage, the transponders in the satellites relay the signal back to earth in a different frequency. Finally, the satellite TV dish installed on the consumers property receives the signal and converts it into TV content, Internet broadband and radio channels.

Satellite networks have made it easier for many people to enjoy their favorite TV channels, surf the Internet and listen to an endless number of music channels on radio. All this is possible because the disruptions are rare and picture quality is very good. The number of people opting for satellite TV is increasing every year.

The demand for TV content, Internet broadband and radio channels is rising. This in turn is increasing the load on existing dish satellite networks. The capacity of present network infrastructure should be increased to improve quality and connectivity. When this is done, consumers can be assured of uninterrupted TV content and high speed broadband at affordable rates.
