Promises That Are True, Daily Promises From God?s Word

Author: Tracy Finney

You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trust in You. Isaiah 26:3 (NKJV)

We live in troubled times. All around us are circumstances that would rob us of our peace. For me, I am a home-school mom and the pressures involved with teaching the kids often try, and often does, take away my peace. Perhaps for you it is in-laws, finances, addiction, divorce, or a combination of many things that come to steal your peace.

It was about eleven years ago when I first discovered how powerful this verse was. I was pregnant with my second child. There had been many circumstances that had crept into my life and I had let these things take over most of my thoughts. I had begun to experience what I called post-partum depression, and that was before the baby was born! After many weeks of forgetting the promises of God and being weighed down with my cares, someone sent this verse to me in a little note. I read and reread the verse. I meditated on the incredible promise and began to believe it for my life. It was not easy at first, I had to choose to let go of my fears, anxieties, and concerns; I had to decide to replace them with the truth of Gods word. It began with just simply repeating this verse from Isaiah over and over. Id find wrong thoughts creeping into my head and simply speak out the promise of God. Gradually I began to find that I was experiencing peace in place of all the anxieties. It was a wonderful revelation knowledge that had come to me. The words had become more than good words, they began to be alive in me.

Gods promises are true. If you need peace in your life; if your circumstances are trying to drown you, remember this promise. It is a powerful weapon to carry with you. When you face the difficulties, or are alone with you fears or concerns, if you need peace, remember this truth. Simply turn your thoughts toward God, speak out this promise, focus on Him, and He WILL replace your problems with peace despite your circumstances.

Meditate on the things of God!
