Cross Dresser and What It Really Means

Author: Agust Hauksson

What is a cross dresser? A cross dresser can be male or female, and will dress in clothes of the opposite sex, trying to look different and be different than who they actually are. Most often a cross dresser is male, referred to because the drastic change that happens when a man dresses in a woman's clothing. The clothing a person wears is a personal choice, but the man who wears women's clothes is often thought to be gay but sometimes this is not the case. A cross dresser may just feel different when in various types of clothing, or will act differently in a different set of clothing.

Who is likely to be a cross dresser?

There are no right or wrong answers. The cross dresser is one that feels most comfortable in clothing of the opposite sex. If you are comfortable in your own, genders clothing you are thought of to be normal. If you are a cross dresser, people tend to feel you are different than every one else, but that is just because they really don't know you. A cross dresser sometimes put on men's or women's clothing to feel differently inside, their feelings change, and it doesn't mean they are gay or that they are weird, just that they are different from the normal, what most people think is normal.

What if your child is a cross dresser?

If your child or children are experimenting with cross-dressing, it is not something that you have to be alarmed about. The feelings inside of a person, what makes you a man or what makes you a woman is going to be different for everyone. No two people are alike. Sometimes experimenting is just that, trying out something, trying on something that is different from what they usually wear. It is no different from a young girl trying on her mothers clothes, the male child wants to feel that same bonding, to be like mommy to feel like mommy and to be loved like the adult female.

Being a cross dresser allows one to explore and feel their inner emotions more in detail. This is often times going to pass, and they will not be a cross dresser anymore. Did you ever notice that the more times you tell a child no, the more they want to do something? The same principles are going to apply to the child who is cross-dressing. If you leave them be, or tell them they can only do it in their room they are given a little freedom and soon will bore with the whole idea, going back to their own clothing, gender types.
