Our Dad is a syndicated cartoonist, and our Mom is a professional hair stylist, so we were raised in a very creative environment. Music was playing through out the house at all times of the day in our adolescence. What sparked our interest in music and picking up an instrument was our Dad who also dabbled in guitar and songwriting.
We both hosted an Open Mic in the little mountain town of Manitou Springs,CO every Wednesday for 5 years. This is where our experience being on stage really comes into play. Every week we were performing on stage in front of a live audience, trying out new songs, and entertaining who ever could fit inside the tiny, hole in the wall bar. But this included running music equipment and managing sound properly so as to create a positive environment for everyone.
Soon after their inception, they released their first EP - Lone Wolf - which was recorded in Northern Hollywood with producer Matt Grabe. The group caught the attention of Vans Warped Tour; earning them a spot on the Ernie Ball stage just months after its release.
Their next album - Adventurer (produced by The Silverman Brothers) - was released in 2015 and put them on the roster for the South by So What?! Music Festival in Grand Prairie, Texas.
The following year, REDLANDS was one of 40 bands to perform at Vans Warped Tour, this time upgrading to Journey's Left Foot Main Stage.
The band's latest self-produced record Is There Anybody Out There? took first place as Denver's next and upcoming artist in channel 93.3 KTCL's Hometown for the Holidays.
Since then, the band has performed at many well-known Colorado venues: The Summit Music Hall, The Bluebird Theatre, and The Marquis Theatre are just the beginning of a long line of spaces to host this eclectic rock-and-roll group.
The band is currently working on their next release and has plans of hitting the road in the next few months.
