From Aug. 11-13, Velorama Colorado will feature Wilco and Death Cab for Cutie; some of the world’s bests cyclists racing in the Denver stages of the Colorado Classic; and hundreds of vendors in a festival marketplace that includes a Bike and Lifestyle Expo and is anchored by Denver Flea and libations from Drink RiNo, a coalition of independent craft makers of beer, cider and wine.
“Velorama Colorado aims to celebrate many of the things that make this state special,” said David Koff, CEO of RPM Events Group. “Finding and promoting Colorado bands to help bring down the curtain on the final day of our three-day celebration is a great way to highlight the incredible music scene that has evolved in Denver and Colorado in recent years.”
General-admission tickets to the Road to Velorama concert series are available for $5. Doors open each day at 2 p.m.

Brian had been writing and producing records solo for the last eight years until he happened upon Brett at Monday Night Jazz at the Meadowlark, one of Denver's best mainstays. Shortly after, they began playing together and the sound that came from it they most certainly liked. They soon realized, mainly due to Brett's encouragement, that a rhythm section was necessary to further that sound. They then met John, also at the Meadowlark, and asked Lehi to play bass, who was Brian's most beloved bank teller at the time. They later found Josh through an arduous quest on Craigslist (who had just moved here from Connecticut) after realizing that the upright bass was going to be a crucial element of Before the Bulb's sound. Lehi then moved to guitar and keyboards. Cody was last to join forces but has been a worthy edition with his well rounded and skillful approach. To be brief, a series of fortuitous events brought together "The Bulb". And into the future they continue to head, hopefully with your ears at the ends of their soundwaves.
Sounds like: rhythmic foot stomping Americana indie roots music with wicked male / female harmonies and poignant lyrics. Their "genre bending" debut album, Shake the Shadow (2014), has received a gaggle of positive feedback from around the US & Europe.
Pilot & Crew (2015), their latest single has been heard on radio stations across the country and in Europe. They are working on their sophomore album now.
